This is a poem I wrote a few years ago and have revised it again many times today. I hope these few words are able to reveal a little bit or most of what I want my readers to see and understand from it. If not, then please look at my reflection to get an insight of writing this poem.
Author’s reflection:
This
poem is about how there are many bad things in the world that taint people’s
heart with all the negative energy around us.
A blooming lotus flower reveals the beauty and purity of the positive things that can make a difference. My meaning of a lotus flower reminds me of a quote I like from Lord of the Ring
movie said by Galadriel, “Even
the smallest person can change the course of the future.” The lotus flower is very beautiful, and it gives
a sense of innocence, peace, and calmness when you look at it. I hope that when one sees a lotus flower,
they will be able to see the real truth of within them. One should be true to their heart and not be
a hypocrite, phony, and/or swindler.
